Description
After the Second World War, the Soviet Union took more than 575,000 Japanese soldiers and civilians to labor camps in Siberia and Central Asia (Japanese government figures). About 55,000 died there. Compiled by the student group Samurai Book, this booklet introduces that history through survivor testimony, guides to the museums and archives that hold the records, and a reading list for further study.
